Personalised service
It is not our role to take care of all medical aspects at Lou Bastidou, but we do offer a list of health professionals to contact if needed (nurses, physiotherapists, an accessible pharmacy, an accessible doctor’s surgery, service providers for home help, transport, specific equipment, etc.) On site, we can provide specific equipment on request (subject to availability): Aquatec and Gaillot shower chairs, shower bed, etc.
Specific equipments that belong to Lou Bastidou
Subject to availability :
- Toilet/shower seat
- Transfer disc with handlebars
- 1 healthcare bed in each cottage
- The 5 accessible bedrooms in the residence are equipped with barrier and arm holders at the front and the back of the bed that can be raised manually. A nurse call system is also available.
- In the Eucalyptus cottage there is a bathroom more equipped with a shower bed, a bed table, a serum stand and a walker
Specific equipment for rent
Rental with a prescription and social security certificate:
- Patient hoist,
- Anti-bedsore compressed air mattress,
- Manual wheelchair.
Since July 2025, the cost of delivering medical equipment is no longer covered by Social Security.
As a result, we are required to charge €18 per item delivered. The association will liaise with the service provider.
